- Every October, the Depot holds a Civil War History Day with a living history encampment by the 12th NJ Volunteer Regiment, live civil war musicians, and various lectures and speeches performed by an Abe Lincoln impersonator

- On Fridays in December, visitors young and old can attend holiday open houses, with model train displays, pictures with Santa, caroling, candy canes, cookies and hot chocolate

West Jersey Depot

The former West Jersey and Seashore Line freight station was built in 1863 and served as both a telegraph office and hub of commercial activity in Glassboro from 1871 to 1971. At the height of activity, West Jersey Depot saw more than 100 freight and passenger trains pass through each day. After years of neglect, the station was restored in 2015 thanks to federal funding. Most of the original structure remains intact, including original wood window trim and wainscoting, as well as antique glass in all the windows. Visitors can glimpse the station’s original ticket window, complete with a sliding ticket door. There is also a replica of a working telegraph on site. Currently, West Jersey Depot serves as a meeting space for the Glassboro Historical Society.
