The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County
310 Mounts Corner Drive, Freehold, NJ 07728
732-252-6990
Situated in the heart of Freehold Township, The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County is housed on the second level of the historic Levi Solomon barn. The nineteenth century barn sits on part of the old Solomon family farmstead, who were one of the first Jewish families to permanently settle in Monmouth County. The museum promotes public awareness of the County’s Jewish heritage through exhibits, programs, and publications that celebrate, preserve, explore, and illustrate the rich and unique history of the Jewish residents of Monmouth County and their contributions to the community. The permanent exhibit "Three Centuries of Growth and Change: A History of the Jews of Monmouth County" showcases the progression of Jewish history ranging from the first Jewish people from Recife, Brazil, to a department store magnate and to the chicken farmers that immigrated from Eastern Europe. The Museum also hosts yearly rotating exhibits.
